Gettin Schooled
I spend a lot of time in school trying my best to learn about things that are only relevant in the science world, and are of little concern to the majority of the people on this planet. Lately I have been spending my mornings studying, afternoons fishing, and evenings trying to study but resulting to blogging and watching fishing video trailers. It seems that a lot of the lessons that stick with me aren't taught in class, but rather taught on the river. I never forget where an epic run is, or where I hooked this fish or what fly was working or any number of things, yet the regulation of TCA enzymes seems to slip away form memory, despite countless hours studying. Yesterday I went out on the river with one of my new buddies, Zach Lazarri, to do a little field trip if you will and learn from another angler. Zach is a great fisherman and he's not only got the fish to prove it but hes also got the beard. Yesterday I ended up with a big fat goose egg and Zach landed 3. Zach runs a cool website, check out my nomad angler link on the left hand column. I am hoping to learn as much as I can from him before he takes off to go guide on the Green, and maybe Ill figure it out one of these days and have something to teach him. Heres a cool shot of Zach working a riffle in the setting sun.
