Winter weather???

We finally got hit with our first winter storm here in the sierras and I gotta say that the skiing has improved quite a bit.  The mountains received over 4 ft and the the valley saw its fair share of precip. bringing us a much needed break, and I can only hope it continues.  But less about skiing and more about fishing, I have been a little lazy playing the weather card lately as an excuse for my absences on the river, reports said last week was slow, as expected with an inversion and lows on the river in the - digits, but, for this week, expect for the fishing to improve.  The flows have spiked a little from all the rain and when the flows begin to come down and the weather heats up the fish should be active and aggressive, fish are much less spooky in off colored water and weeks after storms can be some of the best fishing.  By wednesday the fishing should pick up and stay good on through the weekend.  Note that this is just a prediction, so don't hate me if its wrong, but I think well be in for some good fishing.  Try streamers and stones in off colored water and go back to the winter midges when it clears up, good luck.
