Its been a rough couple of days here in Reno as far as fishing goes. I have gotten a big goose egg the last three times I hit the river. Its one thing to be getting skunked on cold miserable days, but it was perfect conditions for fishing over the last week. Anyway, today I decided I needed a break from the Truckee went over to the West Walker for a change of scenery. The water was low and it was sight fishing 101, only thing was that the fish kept spooking because I am clumsy and a bad sight fisher. Anyway, this big guy didn't spook when he saw me, but rather just hunkered down on the bottom. It took me a few casts to get the right drift but when I got it right he opened up his mouth and sucked a midge down like hed been waiting for it. Caught the a few browns on a stonefly too.
