I usually head down to the river with a full head of steam hoping that today is going to be a day for the record books, this hope is usually crushed within about thirty minutes of catching logs and leaves and is generally kept low the rest of the day. Today was another one of those days where I was just trying to get though my day in hopes of getting to the river because I was sure, this time for sure, that today was gonna be great. Today, amazingly and rarely, my hopes were upheld as I landed this 23" bow and a number of other nice fish. Tell you what, if its big bows your after, get down and dirty with some stones and midges as soon as possible, I dont know how long these good times are gonna last. Today I caught a number of fish between 16" and 20" and after getting grab after grab from these medium sized fish, I moved the indicator to get my drift another foot deeper in the water column, within a few casts I had this big boy on. After I hooked him he jumped 3 times and took me into my backing. Today was the first time a fish has taken me into my backing without breaking off, that was pretty awesome.

Awesome fish chris...or should I say fishes in the past week or two. Your killing it man. Would be lying if I tried to say I wasnt jealous. So blessed to have a fishery like that in your backyard. Cheers!
