Pocket water fish
I have had a chance to fish two days since I have been back and both days have been good. I have had success on stones and pheasant tails, still the same stuff is working that has held true for months now here in reno. I had some good takes in faster pocket water, areas where you expect to find fish on hot summer days. I pulled this guy out from behind a rock in a multiple current braid with white water on either side. My first drift through the hole got no takes but I saw a dark spot materialize and vanish as a fish came up from the depths to check out my flies. The next drift was slower and allowed the flies to get down to the fish's level and sure enough, tug tug!! Fishing should only improve from here on out! I am on the hunt for Mr. Streamer Eating Brownie tomorrow morning so well see what I can get to take.
